We were all college age young women living in the south during the "historical time setting" of this book. Also, our club is a combination of caucasian and african-american members. We lived it-- we saw it-- the bigotry, the hypocrisy. Even as children, all of us knew this was inherently wrong. We all agreed that this was a fantastic "read". We were cheering for "The Help" all the way.
