Great book Well written Would make a great movie
Great Book Extremely well written Thought provoking
Loved the book
Much of this book was unrealistic. Why should it be considered a great love story when he could have gone back to Burma at any time to find her and why did he marry when he could have gone back? Also, is it ever right to leave your family without even an explanation to your children? I feel this overrides the whole story in the book.
Couldn't relate to any characters. All except Ethan self centered. Did not care what happened to them by end of story. Started out great but didn't end well
I rarely give a negative review but this book was simply a journey in redundancy and confusion I really tried to like it but in the end the goal became just finishing it. No story plot and no real ending Don't waste your time
I enjoyed the book. I loved the ending and thought Sophies journey to get there was really good.
Loved this book. We'll developed characters and a great story line
I really wanted to like this book. The characters were weak and there was very little story line. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never did. .Overall it was just a very boring book
One of my all time favorite books. I loved it from the start and could not put it down Highly recommend
The book was well written, informative and initially I thought I would really like it. As time went on I began feeling that the author was trying to make every prisoner appear to be the innocent victim and didn't deserve punishment due to his upbringing or environmental circumstances. He made many excuses for their crimes and the reasons they were on death row, including one of a boy burning down a house and killing its inhabitants. I understand there are inequities in the judicial system but also feel that crimes such as murder must be punished or mayhem will ensue. I believe that we all should take responsibility for our actions but the author just makes excuses. 't the author discussed one prisoner who was "guilty in his eyes" I would have found the book more relevant to the problem. I am an avid reader and didn't even finish the book and this is only the second time in my life I have done this.
I really enjoyed this book. It caught me from the beginning. It was a story touching on current topics and the author's character exploration was excellent. I finished this book in record time and highly recommend it.
This was a great story. Diane Chamberlain has done it again touching on very current topics and getting right to the core of human emotions and behaviors. The characters are deep and believable. Highly recommend this book.
Great Book. Brings home the realities of Alzheimers Disease and it isn't pretty. Able to explain the disease with excellent character description and explanation. Highly recommend
Absolutely loved this book. Remarkable job in bringing a very controversial subject to light. Characters were easy to relate to and interesting. Highly recommend
