I liked this book but didn't LOVE it. I thought the premise was intriguing, but found the telling of the story to be lacking. There were several parts of the story, particularly the main character's actions/decisions, that I found to be unrealistic. We enjoyed discussing it at our book club meeting, because of the subject matter, but it isn't destined to become one of my favorite books.
Maybe we were just the wrong demographic for this book, but 7 out of 9 members attending the meeting either didn't like it or hated it. Reasons ranged from disinterest in the subject matter; the confusing, choppy, "short story" format; and the failure to fully develop certain characters.
