My Reviews

Red Hook Road: A Novel by Ayelet Waldman

Slow
Not bad just slow

It's not a bad book and the writing style was good, I just thought it was slow moving. The story is really about grieving and how the different people cope with grief and interact with each other and people around them. It did make for a good discussion, but I really had to push myself to keep going. I can't recommended it for this reason.

OK

Good read but not terribly exciting. Concentrated on some characters, but left others out in the cold. Chic read for the over 40 crowd.

Russian Winter: A Novel by Daphne Kalotay

Not bad, just not great

It's not a bad book, but too many other books that would be better

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

So-so

With so many book out there, I never recommend a book that is only ok. It's not bad, boring, or hard to read, but it's not epic, exciting, or a page turner either. It's a simple story with well descriptive characters, but easily forgotten after it's read.
