Great book for those who love the whole process of food, from the beginning to the end!! A great gift for cooks!
I absolutely 100% adore Leigh Fielding!! I love her voice, her honesty and her way she looks at things in the world. I could be prejudice since it’s set in the 80’s (I am one of those girls too); or the way she is “called” to take her trip (I follow my inner voice too); OR the fact I laughed out loud more times while reading this book than I have in a long time.
it creates a sense of magic about how Santa Claus became who he is.
I didn't know about The hunger games until book club. I enjoyed the entire series.
There are many books by this author. This one speaks her prose really well.
I didn't know much about the creation of the atomic bomb. this really opened my eyes to the secret of it's creation. And how much women were essential.

The Pecan Man is a wonderful book full of interesting characters and narrated by such a quirky woman
Our club really enjoyed discussing this selection that we WON the books (thanks Book Movement!) for our October read!! Put us in a Halloween spirit thanks to it being set in Salem Massachusetts
