I enjoyed the book but could not read a lot at one time. The story skips around and at times is confusing.

I absolutely loved this book! It makes you wonder what really goes on inside your 4 legged friends head! Great story of a parent's struggle to be with their child.

So much detail and the story really doesn't get moving until the last third of the book.

The characters were fascinating especially for the time period. It is hard to imagine the hardships endured. Learned alot and loved the story!

Well written and heart felt story and the emotions that can be conveyed through flowers when there are no words. Loved this book!

Such a touching and interesting approach to racism in today's world. Really enjoyed all of the characters who were absolute products of their environments and how their personal growth brought them closer together in the midst of tragedy.

This was such a fun book to read!! I was captivated the entire time. Although there are many characters through time the author did a great job of making it logical to follow. Would highly recommend and all in our book club loved the book as well!
