Pope Joan

Epic story, both exciting and adventurous, as well as thought provoking and emotional. Fantastic look at life and hardships (of women especially) in the 900s.

The Glass Castle

Wonderfully written about a difficult life. Walls' matter of fact view of her own life is eye opening!

Impressive how well Patterson can write the inner thoughts of a woman. Wonderful book. Read with a box of tissues!

Wicked Appetite

A fun, light story. A quick read, for a light-hearted adventure... beware reader: most likely the first of a series (possibly 7+ books long).

I liked this book. I found it slow to get into, and hard for me to relate to the characters (which is good i think), but definitely eye opening to cultures that exist in my own country in my own life time!

I don't want to say that I liked this book, but I did! It is an "icky" story of dark thoughts and actions, but wonderfully told in an exciting and addictive way!

This is a must book for discussion groups! The characters, situations, and emotions of the book are difficult and gray and GREAT for discussion! So many questions and no difinitive answers, and really opened the eyes of our new group to get to know eachother and grow closer.

The books narration/perspective from death/the grimm reaper gives a beautiful overtone to this glorious story of the life of a good and loving child through the terrible reign of nazi Germany.

Too many Bugs

This was a very informative history book about a topic that I have zero interest in. Too many bugs and ew for my taste. I wish there was more detail about the discoveries and passion for them. Left me lacking, and still very not interested in this history.

A Quick Read!

A fast read and interesting run-away circus love story told from the guys point of view. If you prepare yourself before hand for the harsh conditions of the setting, and cruelty that can be imagined, then you will love this book!

A fun story!

This was a beautifully fun story of romance, friendship, loyalty, and honor. Not a heavy topic, but does involve strong emotions, and diffucult personal decisions. Very good for conversations. I Love a fairytale that has no evil/bad guy, and this provided!

Makes You Think!!!

I really enjoyed this book. For a non-fiction it flows wonderfully and really engages the reader. I especially enjoyed the Afterward and Timeline at the end of the book that explain other medical ethics situations.

As a biochemist for a Healthcare company, I also saw it as a great record of how medical sciences have advanced in the last 60 years, and the people who shaped the medical world as it is today.

I think this is a book that EVERYONE should read!

I found it wonderfully fun and enchanting. Couldn't put it down at the end, but am so sad that I've now finished it. This was such an enjoyable experience to read.
