My Reviews
This is one of the most beautifully written books I've ever read. The vocabulary is elegant, matching the character of the main character perfectly. You fall in love with the hero and can't put his story aside. It's a compelling read.
This is the story of Osage Indians who were taken advantage of and murdered by white men who wanted the rights and income to the oil fields on the reservation. The FBI was just getting organized when these crimes occurred but they were called in to investigate. The book, based on fact, shows how the investigation developed and played out. The story was fascinating but the writing could have been better.
