A little too "fantasy-land" for me.
Loved this book.
This book was difficult to understand at first. Several of our club members actually gave up. But keep with it, once you dig into it, it becomes a beautiful, sad love story.
Hard to believe this is a true story. It became hard to follow because there were so many characters.
Such a romance, but have some tissues ready at hand!
Members of our club loved The Friday Night Knitting Club so much, we decided to read the sequel as a group. Yuck! No one in our club liked the book at all. Too much going on with too many characters, and way too long. Would not recommend to anyone!
i wasn't impressed. it was boring and seemed like it didn't have a point.
this book was difficult to read because of all the foreign words. also, it was very long and reads like more of a factual informative book than the inspiring story it could be like.
this book generated a good discussion with our book club because there are several controversial issues. we have a pretty diverse group and it was cool to hear different perspectives and learn interesting facts about members i thought i knew well!
our discussion was great and somewhat controversial. we also loved the writing style of the author!

this book is very long and difficult to follow. there are dozens of characters, and they all have swedish names. the story is good and interesting, but takes a long time to unravel because there are so many confusing details.
This book generated a good discussion at our meeting. There are a lot of plot twists and dark characters to keep it interesting.
this was a really fun book to read. it didn't generate much discussion, though, because everyone pretty much loved it and we didn't have much to "debate" about!
I have read many Jodi Picoult books, and I feel as though they all start to sound alike. Frankly, she drives me nuts! She is a great writer, but her plots are ridiculous. I don't want to give anything away, but if you've read her before, you know what I mean. If you're a fan of her, this is another book that will keep you reading. If you're not a fan, don't bother because it will remind you of every other book she's written.
