My Reviews

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

Dramatic, Insightful, Interesting
Wow!! What a great book!!! I would highly recommend this book

This is a book that will stay with you once you are done with it. You will ask yourself over and over what would I have done if I were the parent? The ending was great, I could not put this book down!!! This is a must read!

World Without End by Ken Follett

Epic, Interesting, Insightful
Add a star if you are a Follett Fan!

The pillars of the earth is my all time favorite book, and I was patiently waiting for this book to be in the stores. Follett does not dissappoint, It was another epic novel and I really liked it and would recommend it.

Romantic, Adventurous, Dramatic
good, not the best I've ever read, different, its like buffy the vampire slayer.

This book was good, I thought that parts did drag a little, too much description and not alot of action. the last 100 pages picked up the pace, when she was hunted. I will read the sequels but not right away.

Slow, Difficult, Romantic
A really intense love story that makes you feel like were there living in the time of cholera

I really enjoyed this book. It is a little bit of a heavy read, with alot of description of the characters and of the time it takes place. The author does a good job of making the reader feel sympathetic toward the poor man in love. He waits his whole life for the woman he loves, and the ending is perfect. I would recommend this book. I have already lent it out to someone to read.

Boring, Inspiring, Slow
A very good read. It was actually lol funny in parts and you sympathize with the author.

I would recommend this book. It was a story about a womans journey to find herself after a horrible divorce. You can identify with her on many levels and it has a happy ending. The Authors writng is very light, yet descriptive and you can picture the places she is visiting. A very good read.

Adventurous, Dramatic, Interesting
What a great tale of love and the history of the circus

This was one of the best books that I have read in a long time. It was a very interesting tale of how two people whol loved animals fell in love and at the same time really interesting stories of the circus in the 1920's. I would recommend this book.

The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks

Romantic, Inspiring, Fun
Add a star if you are a dog lover, really great book and great ending

This is one of my favorite Sparks books. If you love dogs you'll love it even more. The ending was so suspensful and shocking. I would recommend it.

The Choice by Nicholas Sparks

Romantic, Fun, Beautiful
a typical Sparks book, was a good read, of course alittle sad

I liked it, was a fast read with a nice ending. Sparks is the master of love stories. some turn out bad, some turn out good. I don't this was one of his best, I liked the wedding, and The guardian better but all in all I would recommend this book.

Confusing, Interesting, Beautiful
complicated, but a book that leaves you with a lasting impression

I really liked it. It was a little confusing but worth the work of flipping back and forth to figure out the characters. The ending ties it all together, and I would recommend this book.

Informative, Gloomy, Scary
a different book for grisham, a true story and just goes round and round

I found the book a little rambling, about a man who was once a star athlete and amounts to nothing. He is just a big drunk who gets accused of a murder just because he is the town drunk. DNA evidence eventually clears him, but at the end you feel little sympathy towards a man that lead a pathetic life.

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

Dramatic, Interesting, Dark
great book!!! an erie tale with a twist that just keeps wanting you to read on!!

Away: A Novel by Amy Bloom

Dramatic, Dark, Poorly Written
Good story, a quick read.

You really sympathize with the main character throughout her journey to find her daughter. The end wraps it all up in a realistic way. I would recommend this book.

Atonement (MTI) by Ian Mcewan

I hope the movie is better than the book.

I found the book very slow, too descriptive, not enough story of the two lovers. I had a very hard time getting through the book. Not one of my favorites.

A Thread of Grace by Mary Doria Russell

Informative, Adventurous, Insightful
What a really great book! the characters and the story are

riveting, I could not put this book down. It makes you want to learn more about WW2. You really feel for those people who had to live through that. This is a must read!!

Bride Island by Alexandra Enders

A raw, truthful book about about a woman struggling to make right

A really good book. You can identify with the main character and her trying to fix the mistakes in her life. She struggles with her dysfunctional family and the death of her brother.

Interesting, Romantic, Beautiful
A really well written book about two boys and their childhood in Canada

I really enjoyed this book. It started off a little slow, but the characters grab hold of you and you feel like you are living in Canada in the 1940's. I would highly recommend this book for a book club discussion.

Dramatic, Interesting, Insightful
I could not put this book down!!!!! Compelling and riveting!!!!!!

What a great book about a young girl who makes the wrong choice and it affects the rest of her life. She tries to wrong the right even though she knows that it will destroy the people she loves. This book is a must read!!!!!

Adventurous, Slow, Confusing
Very descriptive and well written, but the story moved a little slow.

A murder mystery set is the 1800's. The story wraps up in the end, and you will want to know how it ends. I thought the story was a little slow, I finished the book just to end the story.

Bridge of Sighs by Richard Russo

Inspiring, Beautiful, Insightful
dull, dull dull I would pass on this one.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows

interesting and informantive, the middle of the book dragged a bit

the beginning of the book was great, good backround on the history of egypt and storyline. Her life in Rome was uneventful, until the end when the story wraps up and she finally finds happiness. Nice twist at the end, but it felt like it took forever to get there. I actually enjoyed the end of the book, when the author tells what happens to each of the characters.

a really good, involved book. A mystery that you want to get to the bottom of.

the book is a little slow, but stay with it .....

I started to read this book and i thought is was kind of slow. When you got to the part about the mother telling the fairy tale, the book was almoset riveting. by the end of the story I was crying. I would recommend this book.
