Great book for a book club - over 700 pages, can see the discussion being all over the place, did not think I would like it but I loved it.
A good book club book - funny, fun and a book which was hard to put down
This was a delightful book. Did not think I would like it but it was wonderful. You did not want to put it down and the author came full circle. Many times, you have to decide for yourself what actually happens in the end. I belong to three book clubs and all of them have read the book and have really enjoyed it. Great book club book
This was a delightful book to read. I did not think I would like it but I really enjoyed this book. You did not want to put it down. She provided closure - she came full circle letting you know exactly what had happened. You did not have to guess what happened once you completed the read. It was all there. Could not put the book down, I was transported back to Africa - Amazing what women did back in that time.
Our book club also watched the Movie "Out of Africa" after we discussed the book - on a different day of course.
I loved this -I found it to have some very funny lines and it was very entertaining.
Eye opener - grabs you from the first page - interesting discussion book for book clubs.
A very good, fast read. Lots of discussion about characters and their decisions. Some of the characters should have been developed more. It was a very compelling story - you guessed the plot from the beginning, however, you felt the sadness and loss of friendship. Good Book Club discussion book.

Many could relate, had fun laughing with and were able to feel the love that he was able to portray.
