Notes From the Author to the Bookclub
The central idea for A Taste of Fame is the priceless bond of friendship. With reality shows being such a rage now, we thought it would be fun to have the girls of the Potluck Catering Club become Reality TV stars! We decided that the show would be filmed in New York City and that would; of course, necessitate our having been there in order to make it sing! During the Christmas holidays of 2007, we met in NYC and spent about four or five fabulous days, pretending to be our characters, walking out some of our plot points. There are several hilarious scenes in the book that actually took place-like getting separated on the subway! What we want readers to get out of this book, first and foremost, is just a good time reading it! Then, we want them to remember how precious friendship really is; good friends are hard to find-best friends are even more rare.Book Club Recommendations
