My Reviews

Dramatic, Interesting, Adventurous
The story starts out slow, with too many characters to keep track of.

Although The translation of this Swedish novel is a bit difficult to follow at first. Terminology and places made it difficult to visualize what was actually happening to the main character. the The author also bombards the readers with dozens of characters that have questionable relevance to the story. This reader had trouble grasping where the story was headed.
After sorting out the characters, the story does start to build albeit, slowly. After about half the book was read, the story that unfolds brings the reader into a mysterious world of distasteful men and women with a background of hatred towards each other and those around them. The seemingly unsolvable mysterious disappearance that takes place thirty plus years prior to the present, consumes you and leads you in a direction that you won't believe could be true.
Just when you think the story is done, you are thrust into a fast paced turn that will leave you wondering.
