The first of my "bookclub" experiences and I hope they are all this satisfying. Deftly told within a world you find hard not become totally immersed in. A haunting insight of growing old from the 90 or 93 year old (!) Jacob that adds huge poignancy to this tale. Spellbinding and a definite "must read"
